During this inspiring weekend\, two leading musicians and pedagogues\, cellist Katja Dirven and violinist József Lendvay\, will share their knowledge\, experience\, and musical vision with participants of varying levels. \nThe Van Cappellenhuis is delighted to welcome these two renowned musicians\, who perform with us regularly. \nThese masterclasses offer a unique opportunity to work intensively on technique\, interpretation\, and ensemble playing\, under the guidance of internationally renowned artists. These open classes provide a platform for meeting\, deepening understanding\, and artistic growth. \n\nProvisional program\nSaturday\, May 30\, 202610:00 AM – 5:00 PMMasterclasses in violin\, cello\, and chamber music10:00 AM – 5:00 PMThe main hall of the Van Cappellenhuis is open to the public all day. Her deep-rooted passion for music and education has not only shaped her own artistic development but has also had a lasting influence on many young musicians. \nJózsef Lendvay – violin\nJózsef Lendvay is an internationally celebrated violinist\, known for his virtuosity\, expressiveness\, and stage presence. In addition to his solo career\, he is a passionate pedagogue who passes on his knowledge and musical insights with great enthusiasm to both young talents and advanced musicians. \n\nContent of the Masterclasses\nThe following masterclasses are offered during the weekend: \n\nViolin – by József Lendvay\nCello – by Katja Dirven\nChamber Music – by Katja Dirven and József LendvayThe lessons focus on technical development\, musical interpretation\, stylistic awareness\, and stage presence. DESCRIPTION:With Vocaal Ensemble No Quartet \n\nLetizia Maula\, clarinet\nJozsef Lendvay\, violin\nKatja Dirven\, cello\n\nOn the eve of summer\, on Saturday\, June 20\, 2026\, Vocal Ensemble No Quartet\, together with the Lendvay Ensemble\, will present a surprising and versatile concert in the atmospheric Oude Kerk in Voorburg. \nChoir and ensemble engage in a musical interplay in which the programs are carefully coordinated. \nUnder the direction of conductor Peter Janka\, the choir will perform a selection of works compiled from suggestions by the singers themselves and the conductor. The Lendvay Ensemble aligns closely with this selection of music.
